Transferring a Domain OUT of Micro Blog

Hi folks,

I’m in the process of moving my domain and blog to a different service, as I’ve been repeatedly unable to get ahold of technical support to resolve DNS issues here (Custom Domain Not Working - #13 by manton). I’ve posted in the forums, emailed the help@micro.blog address (8/25/24, 9/1/24, 9/11/24, 12/21/24, 1/6/25, 1/11/25), tagged @manton directly, and DM’d Manton. I’ve emailed again today (1/28/25) regarding the present issue, but with the history of communication, I’m worried I won’t get support.

I’ve purchased a domain transfer, generated my authentication code (account > get a domain name > view records > generate auth code). The new host says that there’s currently a lock on the domain and they’re unable to fulfill my transfer request.

Is there anything else on my end I need to be doing to release the domain? It looks like in previous forum posts (Unlocking Domain for Transfer Away) there’s something on the admin side that needs to happen, but I just wanted to be sure.

Thanks!

So sorry for dropping the ball on this. I’ve unlocked your domain, hopefully that was the only hangup with the transfer. Will respond to your email too… I’m planning to get help with support email very soon.

Thank you, Manton. I wish you all the best - this is a great and needed service and I hope you get the additional support it needs so that it can thrive.

@manton Howdy. Could you release mgblog.org and mglinks.org as well?

Thanks!

Thanks, Manton. I’m seeing this on my end but it could just be a timing thing.

I just wanted to update and say my migration was successful. I know you mentioned responding to my emails regarding this - you’ll be looking for one from 1/6.
