How to follow Bluesky users with custom domains?

Note that when using custom domain names as handles in Bluesky, Micro.blog will try to follow their blog instead of their Bluesky account. We are working on improving this.

Any news on improving this? Too many accounts are now using custom domains, and most of the ones I try to follow don’t work. Technically speaking, isn’t it possible to tweak the search feature to find the accounts using the profile URL? bsky.app/profile/user-name

I’m doing some more work on this. I’ll post an update soon when it’s working with custom domains.

I’ve rolled out an improvement to this, so that searching for domain names in Discover on the web should know also check if the domain is for a Bluesky user. We’ll keep tweaking this as we can… I think display of some Bluesky posts is still not perfect.
