It would be helpful to me if I could add “alt” text to images as I upload them. That might be too much trouble, I know. Just wanted to put it out there, in case it is a lot easier than I am imagining it to be. (I’m thinking about this only for images going forward, nothing else.)
If you mean via the Mb Upload feature then I think it must be first uploaded so AI can generate the alt text and only then you can copy it. You may need to use other means to upload if you want your workflow (I use Drafts and a shortcut to do that).
That’s correct. First the image uploads to MB. Then MB sends it to generate the AI summary. That can take a bit of time, and that’s not really in MB’s control very much.
Adding AI alt text will always have an extra waiting period, though there are apps like Mimi Uploader that makes that feel easier than MB’s flow, it’ll never be as easy or fast as posting without it.
Unless Apple provides this natively on device and Manton adds a platform specific feature.
I write my own alt text. This is a query about me adding alt text to my own uploads.
The process is different depending on which interface you use.
Are you uploading at the time of making a new post or in the “Uploads” section of the website? Also, from the web or an app?
