Unable to change Domain Name under Design Settings

I am following the instructions laid out under Custom domain names. I have been migrating my Jekyll blog over to Micro.blog. I am now attempting to use my domain, toddgrooms.com, with my Micro.blog instead of using micro.toddgrooms.com (as I originally did). I have updated the settings at my registrar (hover) to match the DNS records outlined in the help document. I am now attempting to change the “Domain name” setting under the Design tab. When I change the name from micro.toddgrooms.com to toddgrooms.com and click Update Blog Settings, the page reloads with the previous domain name of micro.toddgrooms.com. It is almost as if the change is not persisting. I do not see any errors in the logs after publishing.

Any ideas on what to look at next?

I’m trying to do the same thing today, changing from micro.wldunbar.com to wldun.bar, also at Hover, and getting the same reloaded page.

Weird. I just checked on it and it’s now reflecting the domain name change and my site seemingly loads correctly.

Yep, my change is working as well.

I did this a couple of weeks ago. Turns out you just have to wait a bit until everything falls in place.
