Hi,
I recently posted something, and when I came across it in the timeline it was a truncated view like this 
I assumed it is because of photos in between text, but I see that other’s posts with text and images are appearing properly in the timeline.
Why is this happening? Or what am I doing wrong?

You’re not doing anything wrong. There are rules for how posts are presented on the timeline. The post in your example is affected by this rule:
If the post has no title and is over 300 characters, the text is truncated with a link back to the full post on your site.
