Stop second blog posting to my ActivityPub

Can I not add a secondary blog’s posts to my primary blog’s ActivityPub/Fediverse feed?

I want my secondary blog’s posts to be completely separate from my primary blog’s posts — that’s why I created a second blog, rather than put them all on my primary blog.

Ideally the secondary blog post would have a separate micro.blog ID and appear on the timeline separately, but that’s not a big issue for me.

Thanks!

I don’t really understand what you mean by how you wrote it, but a premium subscription comes with five blogs. The blogs are distinct with a different ID like you said…

If I understand you correctly, no, your secondary blog’s posts will not be part of your primary blog’s ActivityPub/Fediverse feed as it’s a completely different blog. You will only see a combined feed on Micro.blog’s own timeline.

@pratik has the right of it. I was seeing a secondary blog post as part of my primary blog’s ActivityPub/Fediverese feed. But it may have been user error on my part and in any case I’ve decided to just not worry about it. At least for now.

To clarify this a little, the ActivityPub support in Micro.blog is for the entire Micro.blog account, not for an individual blog. If you have multiple blogs and they are all configured on the Sources page to be used in the Micro.blog timeline, posts from all the blogs will also be federated out to other platforms. Removing a blog feed from the Sources page will also remove it from federation and the Micro.blog timeline, making it a standalone blog not connected to the fediverse.
