Any help with this please?
Is this forum an official channel for help requests?
I’ll try emailing help@micro.blog as well
If you need a reply, email is usually best, but I try to monitor the forums here too.
I’m looking at one of those posts and the HTML is a little unusual… How did you post it, and what app did you copy the links from? I’m seeing <span class="invisible">
in the HTML which is not something Micro.blog uses. It appears to be interfering with the newsletter rendering.
I’m using Buffer to post to Mastodon and then using the Mastodon RSS feed to post to micro.blog. Doesn’t seem to be a problem rendering on the blog itself — just in the newsletter.
Buffer is an automated scheduling tool for X, Masto, Bsky, etc.
I’m going to try posting natively to micro.blog and see if that solves the problem and is a practical solution. This particular blog where I’m encountering the problem is one where I post memes and found Internet media — saving taps and clicks and such is a priority.
Okay, let us know how that goes. Buffer is fine, but something about bringing those URLs back in from Mastodon is causing a problem with the email newsletter. I think a subtle difference between how Markdown is processed.
