RSS import: HTML entities undecoded in item titles

Hi there! I’m new to micro.blog, and wanted to migrate my existing blogs over to it. I tried importing some posts from Tumblr via RSS, and my own self-hosted blog’s RSS feed. This looks like it’s mostly working great (so awesome to see all my posts show up!), but it looks like HTML entities in titles aren’t getting decoded. Some examples:

  1. André Pang - GNU Make & .ONESHELL, which is imported from Stay Hungry ~ Stay Foolish. The post says GNU Make & .ONESHELL, the & isn’t being decoded to &.

I think it’s just HTML entities in the RSS item.title that aren’t being decoded, since the posts are coming through okay. Would someone be able to take a look at this?

Thanks so much!
Andre.

Another example (I’m a new user, so I couldn’t put more than two links in the original post :stuck_out_tongue:)

  1. André Pang - Immutability and Blocks, Lambdas and Closures [UPDATE x2], imported from Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish. The post says Immutability and Blocks, Lambdas and Closures [UPDATE x2], the &#x2c should be decoded to a comma (“,”), and x5b and x5d should be decoded to [ and ].

Thanks, you’re right, I don’t think Micro.blog does anything with HTML entities in title fields. This seems like something we can fix.

Thanks very much Manton! Please let me know when you think you have a fix, and I’ll be happy to try it again.

Hi Manton & micro.blog folks! Just checking to see if there’s any updates or an expected timeline for this. Thanks!
