I’m using an embedded audio player from RSS.com in a post on micro.blog.
The embedded RSS.com player displays and works on the web, on Mac and iPad, but does not appear at all when I view the post on my iPhone.
I tried it with a SoundCloud embedded player, and that works on all three platforms.
I’m waiting on help from RSS.com, but thought I’d ask, in the meantime, if there’s a known issue or simple fix. From my research, it seems that various audio embeds often experience issues like this with mobile platforms.

I copied that embed code into my test blog, and it worked as expected in Safari on iOS 26.5. Sometimes, ad blockers or other browser extensions can interfere with embed codes. Could you be running something like that on your phone?

I’ve checked the browsers on my iPhone, and they’re not running any extensions. Two of them block ads by default, I think - that’s Firefox and Duck Duck Go; but the third one, Safari, has no extensions running at all.
The audio player fails to appear in all of them.
Could the age of my iPhone be a factor? It’s an iPhone 7 Plus.
Yes, the problem is your old phone, or more specifically, the version of Safari it’s running (15 or earlier). You’ll need to either upgrade your phone or check with the developers of the embedded audio player to see if they’re willing to support older versions of Safari on iOS.
Thank you, Sven. It’s a relief to have a result, a cause of the issue that I can understand.
There must be others with old phones. I’ll add a workaround so that, if someone can’t see the embedded RSS.com player, they can use the native micro.blog audio player instead.
