Are replies to Threads cross-posts coming back to the Timeline in the works? I see they work beautifully for Bluesky posts.
I don’t think the Threads API supports this yet.

We still have some glitches with our Mastodon and Bluesky replies, but after those are working perfectly I’ll revisit Threads replies. We would need approval from Meta. I’m a little discouraged with Threads right now, but if we can technically add this, we will.

Thanks, Manton. Yeah I’m weaning myself off Threads (sorta) and beginning to embrace Indieweb. The learning curve is a but steep, but I’ll get there.
Sorry to jump on this thread with another question, but should externally posted Mastodon replies now be posting in the replies section on my hosted blog? I have a custom theme with u-syndication links and have been using Bridgy to bring those over, but I’d rather not do that if this new Mastodon replies feature also copies over posts to the hosted blog. TIA
Yes, that should work. There was a bug that prevented some replies from being shown below your blog post, but I just rolled out a fix for that. Keeping an eye out for similar problems, so let us know if it doesn’t work going forward.
