Is it possible to use the “Sources” feature in MB to have the content from my external blog posted to the MB Time Line AND posted to my MB hosted Blog? The settings on the “Sources” page look binary - you get to pick one or the other.

Yes, the way it works is when you have it set to import your blog posts, those posts are also added to your Micro.blog hosted blog feed, which then get added to the timeline.
So it works something like this:
- Post to your external blog.
- Micro.blog sees the post and copies it to your Micro.blog hosted blog.
- Micro.blog checks your hosted blog feed and adds it to the timeline.
You’ll have at least two feeds on the Sources page: one for the external feed, and one that is likely you.micro.blog/feed.json.
Yup. Anything posted to your Micro.blog blog gets posted to the Micro.blog timeline. Whereas the other option is if you want something posted ONLY to the Micro.blog timeline and not on your blog. Dunno who uses the latter option although I see a case for using it as a log for your media consumption (Letterboxd reviews, Trakt activity, Books read, etc. I like to log everything on my blog anyway so doesn’t apply to me.
