Properly syncing Fediverse posts after migrating content

Hi! I have migrated a number of blog posts and a newsletter archive into this platform, and am excited to properly start using micro.blog.

However, I don’t quite have the content synced as I would like before I start asking people to follow me on Mastodon. Here’s what I have:

  • Posts: My micro.blog Posts page is perfect, I have retro-dated everything and uploaded all media, etc. So, I believe on the micro.blog data-entry side of things I have everything migrated correctly. The published blog and its archive are just how I want it.
  • https://micro.blog/oldinsurancemaps: However, this page still has a handful number of posts on it that are old, from past attempts at migrating (you’ll see 3 posts are dated 2025-12-22 and 3 dated 2025-12-21, as well as duplicates for most other posts).
    • Question: How can I get this feed to match my Posts list exactly?
  • Similarly, if I go to my Fediverse account in a client, I see zero posts, like this:
    • Question: Can I get this feed to be retro-actively filled based on the Posts list in micro.blog?

What I have done already is Rebuild the site through the Account > Logs page, and also used the Reset in my Micro.blog (mastodon account) page.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Adam

Hi, and welcome to Micro.blog! :waving_hand:

Your timeline is filled by one or more web feeds that you set up on the Sources page. If you make changes to the original post afterward, Micro.blog may not always pick up those edits. If there are posts you don’t want showing on your timeline, you can remove them by clicking the Remove link.

No, not really. Usually, the way ActivityPub/fediverse software work is that only new posts after the follow will be received by that instance. In theory, the software could fetch older posts, but in practice they don’t. See for example this open issue.
