Potential Cloudflare problem

Currently, I’m using vladcampos.com on my blog hosted by Micro.blog, and that will not change.

However, my domain is currently managed by Hover, and I’ll have to make Cloudflare responsible for managing it, as this is required by a service where all be using a subdomain.

Here are my questions:

  1. If Cloudflare starts managing my domain, will that affect the SSL or conflict with any other Micro.blog setting?
  2. Do I need to change anything on Micro.blog settings to prevent any problems?

Thank you.

In my experience the only with Cloudflare is if you enable Cloudflare’s caching proxy. That does interfere with SSL in Micro.blog. However, the work-around is pretty simple: just temporarily disable the caching proxy until everything is working. Then you can re-enable it in Cloudflare and it’s all good.

If you see any problems, definitely let us know!

I couldn’t find a how to do this in the setting, and, as you predicted, it broke my site. So, I removed my URL from Cloudflare, but the site is still down. I’m getting “Error 1001”.

I thought it could be temporary, but it’s been a while since I reverted the domain to the original settings.

Just checked your site and it’s loading for me. Still having problems? “Error 1001” is definitely a Cloudflare thing, we don’t have any message like that.

Also coming back here. Some images are still not showing, but it is definitely coming back to normal. Thank you.

I’ll do more research on the caching thing to find out where to turn it off.
