Hi! I’m cross-posting to Bluesky and noticing that the posts from Bluesky-accounts that I have followed through Micro.blog does not show up in my Micro.blog timeline (using the web version). Replies from Bluesky users shows up in @Mentions but nothing from followed Bluesky accounts in the timeline, I only get people I follow from Mastodon, Tumblr and other stuff I subscribe to there. Wondering if I’m doing anything wrong or if there is a bug? Anyone else having the same problem?
Are they Bluesky users that you have followed in your Micro.blog account? Meaning, are they on your following list in Mb? If not, you won’t see them.
You can add users individually from the Discover page. You can put their Bluesky handle in the search box and follow them that way. Their posts will show up in your Mb timeline and they will be in your following list.
@ConatusPrinciple if you search for them in Discover, do recent posts show up there? I have a similar issue where I can see users who are frequent posters directly to BlueSky who aren’t getting updated posts when I search through Discover, but have not had any traction reporting the issue.
I think we need to improve this. Following Bluesky users use the Bluesky RSS feed for each Bluesky user. Maybe something changed recently because it doesn’t seem as reliable as it used to be. We may also need to move this to direct Bluesky API access instead of RSS.
I’m looking into it to see what we can improve. Thanks y’all.
Fixed this. Bluesky posts should show up again in the timeline.
Yeah it seems to be working now, thanks Manton!
