Micro.blog offers blog hosting, but it also tries to integrate as much as possible with other blog platforms via open APIs. Your blog posts can be added to your profile and the Micro.blog timeline automatically by adding RSS and JSON Feeds on the Sources page.
To post to an external blog such as WordPress from within Micro.blog, there are currently two approaches:
- Connect to the WordPress blog under the Account page on the web. Click on the disclosure arrow next to the “New Blog” button and choose “Connect to WordPress”.
- Add the WordPress blog to native apps that support it, currently the official Micro.blog apps for macOS, iOS, and Android. This is set up in the settings for each app.
All paid subscriptions can use the “Connect to WordPress” option for one external blog. Micro.blog Premium subscribers can connect to up to 5 external blogs.
