I am currently unable to post from IA Writer to micro.blog. I just set this up today, but can’t seem to get it to work. I’m currently getting an “Invalid Request 400 (bad request)”
Is anyone else seeing a similar issue?
@manton, could this be related to the new “redirect” bug that’s just been fixed?
I’m having the exact same issue. Is there a solution?
Mine continues to work, so I don’t think there is a widespread bug here.
Aha. Just set it up on another device and now it’s working. I was on my phone the first time, so maybe there was a uncaught network error in the initial authentication processs?
I got an error Invalid request. when posting from iA Writer to my micro.blog website. Did any one get the same issue? I am using macOS 15.4.1.
I got the same error on macOS 15.4.1 after I tried to publish a post with a photo. I tried a test post without a photo and it failed too. So I removed the micro.blog account and then added it again and the issue was resolved. I’ve only tested a text post so far.
I need to look at the API so see where I might have caused an error uploading the image.
@eddie58 I tried to remove and add the micro.blog account but it did not work. This seems to be an issue on the iA Writer in macOS as I am able to post from:
- MarsEdit
- iA Writer on iOS/PadOS
I opened a ticket to the iA Writer’s support team yesterday and hopefully get a reply soon,

@eddie58 The response from iA Writer support is to re-add the blog account in iA Writer, and use the HTML format (which is the default).
It works fine using this workaround.

@eddie58 No. What is interesting is I tried the same approach before I reached out to the iA Writer support, and it did not work.
@binshi That is interesting. I was able to upload the image with the post. Sounds like re-adding the account was critical.
