I am working up the gumption to start a podcast. I was curious about a couple of things.

  1. I tried to use categories with a test post and it didn’t show up in the feed. I was hoping to keep podcast episodes to their own page. Am I doing something wrong, or is it just not possible?
  2. Am I able to modify the RSS tags. I am interested in implementing some of the Podcast-Namespace tags… or at least have the ability to make use of them in the future.

I’m not on the plan that allows for podcasts, so I can’t test and help you out with your first question. In theory, though, you should be able to have categories on these posts.

When it comes to modifying the RSS. Yes, you can via a custom theme. layouts/list.podcastxml.xml is the template you’ll want to make changes to.
