I love the idea of consolidating several platforms I now use—one for the blog, one for the podcast, one for the newsletter, etc. Before I commit and redirect my current podcast, I’m curious from where podcast apps and directories will pull my podcast’s description. Will they use my bio?
Thanks! Yes, by default the podcast feed will use your blog’s title and the “about me” text (from the Account screen) as the podcast description. After reviewing the process of overriding this with @zioibi who was doing the same thing, I added description as a field to the plug-in “Podcast title” today. You can now install that plug-in to get a settings button to more easily change the podcast title and description.
