If I understand the newsletter options correctly, they all appear to send complete posts. Do I understand this correctly? What I want to send is only a link to the post on my site.
You would have to set up a custom theme and modify the newsletter.html template to fit your needs.
This might be a good thing to have a plug-in for, to change the template to use truncated summaries and links instead of including the full post.
