I changed the settings to send newsletter for long posts with a title and reduced the send time to 5 minutes. Manually pressed the Send Now button on the scheduled newsletter and it has been sitting there for well over 35 minutes… Probably more like 45 at this point.
Did I break it? When will it get sent?
Fsck-ing typical… I write this and it is sent! 
Which does beg the question about having better visibility into the process from the micro.blog account site. I will reiterate I really think there is an opportunity for MB to improve newsletter capabilities in some simple but effective ways. Better controls on sending, more user-friendly newsletter themes, for example.

Sorry for the delay on this! We saw some particular slow newsletters recently. I agree we need more visibility and control here. As a small change, I’m also going to fix newsletter sending so that it isn’t slow when Micro.blog is bogged down with other background work.
