From the Uploads section, selecting New Post from any of the uploaded images just gives me a new, blank writing post window. I was expecting to see the html or Markdown code for the image already added. Is this a bug or am I misunderstanding the feature? This is for web version using Safari on a Mac.
Same here. To be honest, never used it - I didn’t know it existed until you posted.
I usually just click on the “copy HTML” as it comes with the ALT description, and then paste it into the post I’m writing where I want it. This also gives me control as to where the image shows in the post, which is preferable in some cases. Not what you’re asking, just adding my usecase.
Thanks for letting us know! I can confirm this. I’ll work on a fix today, it must have broken with recent editor changes. (I also tend to use the Copy HTML button a lot, so didn’t notice this bug.)
