Markdown not rendering correctly in long posts

I created a long-post using markdown and the preview looked like this.

However, after posting, all the markdown formatting has gone (see here: Domain event dispatching using the outbox pattern with Entity Framework)

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I figured out the issue.

It didn’t render correctly if I published from the preview screen.

It renders correctly if you publish from the editor screen.
