Is there a way to use a Jekyll theme with the blog?

Hi,

I would love to use the “Moving”-Theme for my blog. It is written for Jekyll.

Is there a way to use it anyway or would i have to write my own theme based on “Moving” if i want to use this theme? I could not find a supported theme with a similar style on micro.blog.

You would have to translate it to a Hugo template. Other users have made custom themes based on Jekyll before, so I think the process can be reasonably straight forward. If you find a Hugo template you like, that’s a much faster path, since Hugo is the underlying site builder.

Happy to help if someone wants to try porting the theme. I’ve ported several Jekyll themes to Hugo / Micro.blog and it is usually straightforward. Most themes (including this one) will probably need tweaks for title-less posts.
