Inkwell is our feed reader for Micro.blog. Subscribe to RSS and JSON Feeds, view conversations from Micro.blog directly in Inkwell, make highlights, and start new blog posts.

Inkwell is available to Micro.blog subscribers, with some features such as Reading Recap available to Micro.blog Premium subscribers. It is not available as part of Micro.one.

Inkwell for Mac available as a direct download here. Requires macOS 15 Sequoia.

1.3 — May 6, 2026

  • Added new post window to start a new blog post, including preview and saving as a draft. This changes File → New Post so that it’s always enabled and will only quote an existing post if text is selected.
  • Added new preference for whether to start new blog posts in Inkwell or Micro.blog.
  • Added View menu → Title to show a title field when writing a blog post.
  • Added View menu → Posts to show your own latest posts.
  • Added right-click context menu option for editing your own blog posts.
  • Added username to Conversation window and Copy Username in right-click context menu.
  • Added feed URL in the feeds list in Settings.
