Inkwell - adding feed failing

I’m testing out inkwell, adding some feeds. It’s failing on the following:

which is working fine in other rss readers. I get the error “subscription failed. Please try again”.

Thanks for reporting that. I looked into this and the feed looks fine, but when Inkwell tries to download it, it gets a 403 Forbidden response. It seems like we’re being blocked for some reason.

I noticed this as well when trying to add Micro.blog users.

I tried https://sod.micro.blog/feed.json and https://manton.micro.blog/feed.json and both of these give me the same subscription failed error. I was able to add 9to5 Mac and The Verge though.

So, I tried again and used https://www.manton.org and https://dahlstrand.net. Then it added them correctly. The first time was typing in the Micro.blog username @manton and @sod and that is when it failed.

I run into the same issue when I try to add usernames with custom domain names for their blogs. Usernames without custom domains, like @news, work fine. Have you bumped into this, @manton?
