I’m currently running my site main site on Beehiiv, but am considering moving it to Micro.blog just to simplify things. Beehiiv can export all my posts to a CSV file, but it’s not clear how I’d go about importing those into Micro.blog. Has anyone tried something like this before?
I don’t think that format is directly supported. Is that your only option? The set of built in imports are listed if you click on the Posts then the three dots next to your blog name and then Import.
There’s existing support for:
- WordPress
- Medium
- Tumblr
- Mastodon
- Ghost
- Markdown
- Substack
- Write.as
- Pika
- Foursquare
@manton is sometimes willing to add new ones that have a documented format.
It’s my only option unless I can find a middle-man converter that’ll import Beehiiv’s export, and then itself export to one of the formats Micro.blog imports. Which right now I’m not aware of. That said, it does export to a CSV, so maybe I can just rename rearrange columns or something to turn it into an approximation of one of the supported formats?
