Hi, everyone. I’m happy to be here.
Just a quick question. Suppose I want to have a read-only blog. How do I turn off or disable replies to posts?

I’d probably remove my RSS feed from the sources page-- that would remove your posts from the timeline and that plus not crossposting would provide no mechanism for replies (unless your theme has the reply stuff on the blog pages themselves, which you could also remove).
Thank you! I will try that and see.
Yep, removing the feed from Sources will effectively disconnect your blog from the “social” side of Micro.blog.
We do want to add a specific “don’t allow replies on this post” option, though.
That’s it, Manton! You got my objective: to disconnect from the social side of things.
But is that really my objective? I guess I might consider allowing people to reach out to me privately to react to a post.
But I don’t know how to go about doing that. Frankly, I’m more than a little confused about what replies and conversations are.
Replies can happen if someone follows your user account on Micro.blog-- they can see your post and click reply.
Conversation is a broader term-- if you crosspost your blog (post to other social media automatically when you post to your blog) the conversations plug in can pull in replies that happen on those other social media sites and show them as comments on your blog (which will include replies from within Micro.blog).
If you don’t want any social element to your blog, you can remove it as a source which does not post it to the Micro.blog social timeline. If you have no other cross-posting setup, that’s it-- you’re done-- there’s no native way to reply to your posts on Micro.blog or other social media.
If you want to “let people reach out” another way, you could always add something like the Reply By Email plug-in, which will add a little link under your posts that encourages someone to email you if they want to reach out. Or you could always add a Contact Me page or something similar to your site with an email address or email form.
