… and this is despite using @manton ‘s plug-in that apparently allows me to use categories to do that. I’ve set it to only use photos from posts in the Photos category, but when I remove a post with a photo from the ‘photos’ category, micro.blog simply changes it back when I update. Many times.
What am I doing wrong here?
What I want to achieve is to exclude photos in some blog posts from appearing in the Photos page.
Micro.blog has a feature called filters (Categories → Edit Filters) that automatically assign categories to posts based on rules. Could it be that you previously set up a filter that assigns a category to any posts containing photos?
Thanks! That was what was going on, I think I’d assumed that when it said apply to new posts, it wouldn’t run every time I hit ‘update’ on an old post when I changed its categories.
