ℹ️ Custom domain names in the EU

You can use your own domain name with Micro.blog. If you register the domain with us, we’ll configure everything for you. If you register the domain name with another hosting provider, you can update your DNS records to point to Micro.blog.

Some customers may want to store their blog posts — HTML, CSS, and other related files — on a server in Europe. Micro.blog is primarily located in the United States, but Micro.blog publishes static web pages for your blog that can be copied outside the main platform. Photos are still stored in the United States and made available around the world via our CDN.

To use our Europe-based data center, make sure you have enabled the “Use server in Europe” checkbox on the Design page.

For your DNS settings, you will use the following values:

A record → “49.13.40.136”

CNAME record (“www” or “micro”) → “eu.micro.blog”

For IPv6, the address is: 2a01:4f8:1c1d:12e0::1
