Crossposting to Threads: «user has not accepted invite»

Crossposting to Threads appeared in my settings resently. When trying to activate, i get the following errormsg:

{“error_message”:“Invalid Request: The user has not accepted the invite to test the app”,“error_code”:1349245}

Obvisously a dumb question; where should I find the invite?

Threads support is in Beta on Micro.blog and require Manton to manually turn on. It’s also currently broken for beta users.

Thanks! My problem is IDK whether I am part of the beta or not. Have asked to be, thought maybe I was asking to late….

I’ve also seen this today. Has the button appeared for me even though it’s still beta?

You also need to go into Threads to authenticate from their app. You need to go into Threads (Settings → Account → Website Permissions) and accept the Micro.blog Invitation.

Thanks, I presume we need to get Manton to turn this on too?

Yes, that link wasn’t supposed to appear unless your account had been added to the Threads beta. I’ll fix that. If anyone needs Threads access, email help@micro.blog with both your Micro.blog username and your Threads username.
