Bluesky responses appear twice?

I’m merrily using the micro.blog ↔ Bluesky connection which really works well most of the time, but frequently I happen to see replies to my own posts over there twice on micro.blog, like here:

Am I the only one to see that? Anything that can be done about it?

Have you signed in with Bridgy before? I notice these double replies sometimes too and the duplicate is from Bridgy. Micro.blog isn’t currently able to match these up and avoid the duplicate, so you will need to disable Bridgy if that’s it.

If that’s not it, let us know.

Hmm, no, not as far as I can tell but I use Friendica for randomly crossposting and reading the remote timeline. Could that be the issue here? It doesn’t also seem to happen every single time, for that matter…

Sorry, one more question… On the web, is the timestamp link to the same URL for both posts?

No problem… no, doesn’t seem so:

https://brid.gy/comment/bluesky/did:plc:fatlfqvytycp527ssay4cjzv/at%253A%252F%252Fdid%253Aplc%253Afatlfqvytycp527ssay4cjzv%252Fapp.bsky.feed.post%252F3ky3gvlyd4r2p/at%253A%252F%252Fdid%253Aplc%253Awxiuo4jeeel2rlvkx3sirilo%252Fapp.bsky.feed.post%252F3ky3kzrpqyf2y

That link straight up is a bridgy URL… maybe you or the other user is using it.

Yeah, this matches what I’ve seen to. Sign in to https://brid.gy and see if it’s enabled for your Bluesky account. If you have never used Bridgy, then… I’m not sure. Perhaps it’s sending a Webmention where we don’t expect it, although that’s odd.

Indeed. Interesting. Apparently I did sign up for Bluesky there at some point though I don’t really remember doing so. Weird. Disabled that, will see how that works now…
