Hello! I’ve noticed that some - not all - Bluesky accounts I’m following via MB show the default blue butterfly profile pic, even when they’ve got a custom profile picture configured. I can’t quite figure out what the accounts have in common where this is happening. Is this a known issue? Is there a way to reload/re-cache the profile?
It wasn’t a known issue. Micro.blog caches the profile pictures for about a week, but as I’m looking into this, I don’t think that’s the issue. I think Bluesky changed the icons in the profile page HTML that Micro.blog was using.
I can work around this to adapt to the new profile pictures. I’ll roll out a fix soon.
This fix was made a few days ago so the Bluesky profile photos should have started to update. It might take a couple more days to fully work through the old cached images, but if there are still problems after that let me know.
