This may not be a Micro.blog issue at all. I’m set up to crosspost from my microblog to Mastodon and BlueSky. As a rule Mastodon picks up the crossposts minutes after posting. It can take up to 30 minutes. BlueSky is way, way more erratic. It can take hours and I suspect some crossposts never make it.
Am I the only person seeing this?
If not, is it a known, solvable problem or is there something going on at BlueSky that means it will always be this way?
I post on Micro.blog using the MacOS app. I use RSS, but I don’t think I’ve even seen posts that originated on BlueSky or Mastodon get relayed on beyond Micro.blog.
Bluesky and Mastodon are set up on the Micro.blog page.
This morning’s Micro.blog posts never made it to BlueSky. I’ve noticed this has happened before, but usually I’m too preoccupied elsewhere to follow up.
This post Bill Bennett - Fediverse update: was on micro.blog at 11:37 local time.It showed up on Mastodon at 11:40. It never made it to BlueSky.
I went to check the last time an MB post made it to BlueSky, apparently it hasn’t worked for days.
Posts are making it to Bluesky very quickly for me too, so I suspect something with authentication or specific to the individual post that the Bluesky API is rejecting. Next time this happens, do you mind checking the Account → “View logs” page? That should have an error message.
