Android bookmarking weirdness

This recording demonstrates some issues I’ve had with trying to add bookmarks from other apps.

  • First, I try to share using micro.blog, which results in the app opening but nothing happens.
  • I go back and try again, this time it works.
  • I click “new post” and the text is inexplicably prefilled with that URL I tried to bookmark earlier

Ideally, I think, micro.blog would expose two different sharing intents (I think that’s the term) for posting or bookmarking (and it would work on the first try :smile:)

Thanks for the screen recording! We’ll fix this. Also, long-term we plan to move bookmarking web pages into our other app Strata. It is just too clunky inside the Micro.blog app as you’re seeing.
