This feature has been removed. Micro.blog now supports Passkeys instead.
Micro.blog does not have passwords, so when you need to sign in again you usually will sign in with your email address and receive a special temporary link to sign in.
If you add a mobile phone number to your account, Micro.blog will also send a verification code in a text message to that phone number. This happens even though you are signing in with your email address. This can be a faster way to sign in on the web, especially if the sign-in emails are delayed or caught in a spam filter.
For phone numbers outside the United States, add a “+” at the beginning of the number. For numbers in the United States, you can just enter the 10 digit number without a “+1” for the country code.
The following countries are currently supported for sending text messages:
- United States
- Canada
- Mexico
- Puerto Rico
- Virgin Islands
- Japan
- Austria
- Denmark
- France
- Germany
- Greece
- Ireland
- Italy
- Netherlands
- Norway
- Poland
- Portugal
