Can you add support for attachments when cross-posting to Day One? @manton It doesn’t seems to send the image of a post but only a link to the media. That would really make a big difference for archiving purposes. Thanks.
Unfortunately it’s not possible with how we’re sending posts to Day One. Day One will only accept the post text.
Oh, that is news to me! I don’t remember seeing that setting. If that works, we can definitely update Micro.blog to support it. (Although I’m not sure how to detect if the setting is on, so we might need another setting on the Micro.blog side too.)
My iOS app doesn’t have that setting! I wonder if it’s something experimental that isn’t rolled out to all Day One users.
According to this post, you will only find the setting in the web app:
In the web app, you can enable image attachments in Settings > Account, scroll down to Integrations > Email to Journal > select a journal, and toggle
Include Imagessetting on. Image attachment settings can only be turned on via the Web app.

Thanks @sod, I found the setting on the web. It works! I’ll update Micro.blog to support sending photos as soon as I can.
this is what is cool about a platform like MB (I know, I shouldn’t call that a platform, but you get the idea!). You hit an issue, talk about it, someone pays attention and hop, a fix is coming. Super quick turn around. cc @sod

That wasn’t intentional. It makes sense to me that the link is always there, so I’ll add it back.
If you put the link back, we cannot have the image in the blog post, too? This blog post, for example, didn’t bring the image into Day One.
Ah, that’s interesting. No, the issue here is that Micro.blog wasn’t including the photos for full-length posts with titles, just short posts. I’ll fix this.
