Any way to import posts from Google Blogger service’s XML file, please?
No, we don’t have an import for Blogger right now. The easiest way might be to import into a test WordPress.com blog, then export that and import into Micro.blog. Another option if you have a Mac is to use an app like MarsEdit that can set the date for a post before saving, and then copy/paste posts in to Micro.blog.
I want to move away from all things Google, including Blogspot.
Now, I have 501 blogposts on my Blogspot blog dating back to 2006.
Are you saying I should export all 501 posts separately and then upload to WordPress and then again download them all separately and then upload them into micro.blog?
That’s probably the best solution right now, assuming WordPress has an easy Blogger import, which I’m not sure about. If you want to email me a copy of your export from Blogspot (help@micro.blog) I can also take a look at it to see if we could work on an official Blogger import earlier.
