Export and Collections

I made my first collection today and used it in a post. And since I’m the type of person I am (paranoid when it comes to backup … lost my masters thesis when the computer I used was stolen) I tested to do an export (using a bar-archive). The photos are exported, and in the JSON file I can see the reference to my collection in the post, but when I search to find a definition of what photos that collection contains … but I find no definition of the collection?

Am I missing something, or isn’t the definition of collection not included in the bar-archive? How do I figure out what photos a collection contains?

You’re not missing anything, collections aren’t in the .bar files yet. I’m not sure the best place to put them since they don’t exactly line up with blog posts. We could put them in the Markdown export (although that would be an extra download) or we could add them inside .bar as a separate file.

I’ll work on adding this soon. Collections are also available from the JSON API, so someone could write a special exporter.

Personally, I would either go for a separate file, or add sections for collections (are pages already a section?) in the JSON file.
